85 innocents killed as Nigeria's drone attack goes wrong

KADUNA: In a warfare tactic gone wrong situation, one erroneous conduct from the Nigerian forces resulted in 85 local people losing their lives. A drone attack aimed at rebels went directly on the locals killing 85 brutally.

The incident took place in Kaduna where the armed groups have taken hold. The death toll could rise further. Most of the dead are children and women. Similar near-misses have been reported in the troubled region of Nigeria in the past. In February 2014, 20 civilians were killed in an attack in Borno.
