vandiperiyar

VANDIPERIYAR: KPCC President K Sudhakaran expressed dismay over the delay in sentencing the accused who confessed to raping and killing a six-year-old girl in Vandiperiyar. Sudhakaran vowed to support the child's family legally for justice. He criticized the state's left government alleging a lack of trust in the police and called for a CBI investigation citing doubts about any left government agency's ability to provide justice. He highlighted plans to approach the High Court for this matter criticizing the Chief Minister's reluctance to offer legal aid to the family.

During Sudhakaran's visit to the girl's home, he engaged with the parents and was accompanied by various KPCC members including Adv M Liju, V P Sajeendran and others.

Sudhakaran also condemned the alleged physical assaults on Youth Congress workers stating that Congress members won't tolerate such actions. He criticized the Chief Minister for what he deemed a lack of shame and dignity. Sudhakaran emphasized the need for a fair investigation referencing past incidents in Walayar and Vandiperiyar, urging to prevent their recurrence.
