Ministers Antony Raju and Ahmed Devarkovil tender resignation; Kadannappally and Ganesh Kumar to replace them

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ministers Antony Raju and Ahmed Devarkovil have tendered their resignations today as part of the cabinet reshuffle. Ahmed Devarkovil is presently the Minister of Ports, Museums and Archeology Department. Antony Raju is Transport Minister.

Ahmed Devarkovil told the media that he is completing the term with full satisfaction. He added that it was the LDF who made him the minister and will accept LDF's decision. Both the ministers met the chief minister at the Cliff House and submitted their resignations. Both resigned according to the agreement of two and a half years in the Left Front. Kadannapally Ramachandran and Ganesh Kumar will replace the two. It is indicated that there will be no change in their portfolios.

Antony Raju said that he is thankful for the support, encouragement and prayers given during his term. The transport department which includes KSRTC is going through a lot of crises. We are happy that we were able to pay the full salary to all the employees at the time of tendering the resignation. He is the MLA of Thiruvananthapuram city. Antony Raju told the media that he will still be here with them as an MLA.
