THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K B Ganesh Kumar, who is about to become the new minister of transportation, mooted plans to revamp the department into a thriving business entity. The ministerial berth fell into Ganesh Kumar’s hands as part of the earlier made pact with the LDF allies.

“ I have a plan in mind and will present the same to CM. The plan if approved will witness public transport reaching every nook and crannies of the state. It is one such plan that has hitherto not been tried anywhere in the country” Ganesh Kumar said.

The plan also promises to increase the revenue prudently. However, the newly turned minister promised to wipe out corruption from the department.

“The union can intervene in necessary matters, such as in matters relating to the welfare of the workforce. The union people have never intervened on administrative matters while I was at the helm and I expect the same to continue now. However, the union will be consulted in all crucial matters and will be held close by the department” Ganesh Kumar opined.

“Will try to stay away from controversies. If there are good roles in films, they will be accepted only with the permission of the Chief Minister.” Ganesh Kumar clarified that a minister can act in movies only with the permission of the Chief Minister.
