Modi appears in Kerala traditional attire at Guruvayur, offers 'Thulabharam' with lotus buds; devaswom board gifts sculpture

THRISSUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered 'Thulabharam' with lotus buds at Guruvayur temple. The devaswom board authroities presented a wooden sculpture of Guruvayoorappan to the Prime Minister who came to attend the wedding ceremony of actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi's daughter Bhagya Suresh.


Narendra Modi, who arrived at the Guruvayoor temple in Kerala attire, was received by Tantri Chenas Namboothiripad and Devaswom President Pofa Vijayan. He spent about an hour at the Guruvayur temple. After returning to the guest house, the Prime Minister rested for some time and attended the wedding of Suresh Gopi's daughter.

The Prime Minister reached Guruvayur by helicopter from Kochi. Heavy security arrangements have been made in Guruvayur as part of Narendra Modi's arrival. He will also visit Triprayar temple today. Then he will return to Kochi and inaugurate three projects at the shipyard. He will return to New Delhi after attending the BJP's Shakti Kendra meeting at Marine Drive.

At the same time, Narendra Modi himself, who officiated at the wedding of Suresh Gopi's daughter, handed over the garland. Big stars including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Jayaram, Dileep, Parvathy Khushbu and Biju Menon also participated in the event.
