Private firm CEO Sanjay Shah dies in 'strange accident' inside Ramoji film city

HYDERABAD: The CEO of a prominent private firm died in a freak accident while his firm was celebrating the Silver Jubilee inside the famous Ramoji film city. Vistex Asia CEO Sanjay Shah died in a freak accident.

Police said that one employee was seriously injured in the accident. The incident happened on Friday evening. During the celebrations, Sanjay Shah and his colleague were put inside an iron cage and were being lowered from the top onto the stage. However, the chain broke midway and Sanjay Shah fell on the stage from a considerable height which aggravated the accident.

Both were rushed to the hospital. Sanjay died while undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case against the event management authorities in the incident. The action was taken based on a complaint lodged by an employee of the company.
