Forced five boys to unnatural sex, hostel warden arrested from Thodupuzha

IDUKKI: A hostel warden from Thodupuzha was arrested for forcing hostel students to perform unnatural sex. Rajeev, a native of Karunagappally was arrested in the case. The arrest was made after boys in the hostel complained about the rogue conduct of the hostel warden.

The children first reported the harassment to the Scheduled Tribe Department officials who came to the hostel. The department conducted special counselling to confirm the authenticity of the complaint. After confirming this, the officials of the Scheduled Tribe Department complained to the Thodupuzha Police.

According to the complaint, it was alleged that Rajeev used to call five boys into his room at times when others were not present. The police took the statement from the children in the presence of their parents. Medical examination revealed that the children were subjected to unnatural torture.

The confidential statement of the children was also recorded before the Thodupuzha First Class Judicial Magistrate. The police fear more victims might have fallen into the trap weaved by Rajeev. To confirm this, all students will be subjected to counselling. For that, the entire report related to the case will be forwarded to the Child Welfare Committee within two days.
