Punjab native dies after being shot by terrorists in Srinagar; one injured

SRINAGAR: A migrant worker was shot dead by terrorists in Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir. One person was seriously injured in the incident. The deceased has been identified as Amritpal Singh, a native of Amritsar, Punjab. The details of the injured person have not yet been released.

The deceased Amritpal Singh was reportedly a street vendor. The incident took place in Shaheed Gunj, Srinagar. Police have surrounded the area and the search for the assailants is going on. The police also stated that the injured person was undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Meanwhile, two security personnel were killed in an encounter between Maoists and police in Jharkhand's Chatra district today. The encounter took place in a forest about 200 km from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. A police official said that two security personnel were killed in the incident. No further information has been released.
