kk

RAJKOT: Former India vice-captain KL Rahul has been ruled out of the third test against England due to injury. Although Rahul was included in the squad for the upcoming three matches, sources said that he has not yet fully recovered from the injury. Rahul, who played in the first Test in Hyderabad, did not play in the second match.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the participation of Rahul and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is subject to fitness clearance from the medical team. Jadeja had also sustained an injury in the first test against England.

Meanwhile, reports are claiming that Karnataka's Malayali player Devdutt Patikal may be included in the team for the third Test instead of Rahul. Devdutt, who hails from Edappal in Malappuram, had smashed centuries in his recent Ranji Trophy matches. However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard.
