PUNE: In the horrific Pune Porsche crash that claimed two lives, the father of the accused minor boy was arrested in Aurangabad on Tuesday. The boy was at the wheels of the posh vehicle as he rammed into two techies and killed them instantly on the busy road of Pune. Vishal Agrawal, a real estate developer, was arrested on Tuesday from the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar area. Meanwhile, police also arrested a restaurant owner and the manager for providing alcohol to the minor boy.

The accident took place at Koregaon Park in Pune on Saturday evening. Aneesh Awadhiya and his friend Ashwini Koshta were on a bike returning home after attending a party in a restaurant. The Porsche meanwhile was frightening the passersby, speeding on the narrow yet busy road. The car later lost control and crashed into the bike throwing away the two riders onto the ground. Ashwini died on the spot, while Aneesh succumbed to his injuries later.

The court granted bail to the 17-year-old boy within just hours after the arrest and this sparked massive outrage from the public. The court granted the bail on condition that the minor accused work with the traffic police in Yerwada for 15 days, write an essay on the accident and also seek treatment for the alcohol problem. The accused's lawyer Prashant Patil had said that the boy was granted bail on the condition that he should seek alcoholism treatment and undergo counseling sessions.

The opposition party meanwhile alleged that pizza, burgers and biryani were served to the accused inside the police station. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Rawat demanded the dismissal of Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar in connection with the incident.

He also alleged that an MLA from Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's NCP faction reached the police station to assist the 17-year-old. Maharashtra's Congress MLA Ravindra Dangekar also made similar allegations. Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that the accused in the case is a minor and a case has been registered for murder under section 304. Police have also included other sections of IPC and the Motor Vehicle Act against the accused.

After the accident, the locals who rushed to the area manhandled the minor boy. Videos of this incident are now circulating on social media.
