'Will beat him mercilessly on Thrissur streets'; KSU district president's fiery diatribe against police

THRISSUR: Gokul Guruvayur, the KSU Thrissur district president on Wednesday publicly threatened police officials. Gokul’s diatribe was in response to the police action of arresting many KSU activists in the melee that took place in Thrissur Law College. A video of Gokul’s speech is currently going viral.

Gokul in his vilifying speech particularly mentioned CPO Sivaprasad's name and warned the officer about further consequences.

“This speech is specially directed at police officials who entered the law college and tortured KSU workers by simply following the diktats of SFI. Pinarayi Vijayan’s tenure at the helm will not be eternal. At some point, he will step down. This is a special warning to officers including CPO Sivaprasad, who tortured our students mercilessly. Some police officials are taking video here. We have no fear in spurting out realities to anybody. This is a warning to CPO Sivaprasad. He will be dealt with on the streets. We have marked him down. As of now, we are practising restraint only for the respect we have for the uniform you wear.

If you have the guts to come to the Thrissur market area without your uniform, dear one, there shall be no doubt that you will return bruised” Gokul remarked.
