Karate Master arrested for death of 17-year-old girl in Kondotty

KONDOTTY: Karate Master Siddique Ali has been arrested in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl. She was found drowned in the Chaliyar River at Edavannappara. Ali was arrested by the Vazhakkad police.

The girl went missing from her house last Tuesday evening at 6 pm. Her body was found lying upside down on the shallow part of the Chaliyar River. The body did not have clothes. Only a slipper was found near the body. Her parents said that she will not commit suicide and they have decided to register a case against the trainer.

The girl was a plus one student in a school near Kozhikode Medical College. She has been learning karate from eighth standard. The incident came to light during counselling in school. The school authorities informed the child welfare authorities in Kozhikode and handed over the complaint to Vazhakkad police. As the girl was not in a situation to speak, her statement was not collected. The Karate master is accused in two POCSO cases.

There are about 30 children in different batches in his karate classes in Oorkkadavu. The girl, who passed tenth class with excellent marks, has not gone to school for two weeks due to mental difficulties. The girl's sisters said the coach initially did not admit to the crime but later confessed to have committed the mistake. The girl's father is a teacher and belongs to a financially sound family. The victim was the youngest of the three.

Everything should be given to Guru! The girl's sister said the coach had been sexually abusing her for three years and they came to know about it very late. The girl was in severe mental distress after he abused her again on September 15. The other girls in the karate class were also abused after making them believe that all these were part of the classes.

He will make them believe that success can be achieved only through Guru. Those joining the classes are small children. He will sit on the girls’ bodies in the name of relaxation work. He will publicly kiss on their lips. The victim’s sisters said that he misleads the children by saying that all these are quite common.
