Anto Antony welcomes K Surendran instead of K Sudhakaran at Samaragni venue; makes correction after realising mistake

PATHANAMTHITTA: Congress MP Anto Antony had a forgettable evening today due to a tongue slip he made while speaking at a function in connection with the Samaragni rally of the Congress. During his speech, the Congress MP accidentally welcomed K Surendran instead of KPCC president K Sudhakaran. The error was committed by Anto Antony at the reception given to the Samaragni rally led by opposition leader VD Satheesan and K Sudhakaran.

"Samaragni's hero, Honorable K Surendran, the president of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee," Antony Antony said as he welcomed Sudhakaran.

On realising his mistake, the Congress MP looked back at the people on the stage and quickly corrected his speech.

Following this, CPM social media groups have been flooded with posts mocking the Congress over the MP's mistake.
