Arun and Sajikuttan may have died due to falling from tree, concludes police surgeon

PUDUKKAD: It is concluded that Arun (8) and Sajikuttan (15) of Vellikulakkara Sasthampuvam tribal colony may have died after falling from a tree. Arun is the son of late Rajasekharan and Pushpa of Sasthampuvam tribal colony. Sajikuttan is the son of late Subran and Jainamma. The police surgeon who conducted the post-mortem has concluded that while trying to collect honey from a 50-feet tall tree, one person jumped due to the sting of bees and the second one fell down.

Both have signs of bee stings on their bodies. Eight-year-old Arun may have jumped down when he was stung by the bees. The bones of both Arun's legs are broken. Sajikuttan's legs and spine are injured. It is concluded that Arun Kumar may have died on the second date itself. It is concluded that Sajikuttan's death took place after three days.

Sajikuttan's body was found about 100 meters away from Arun's body. After the inquest on Saturday evening, the bodies were taken to the Medical College Hospital and post-mortem was conducted. Then at 3 pm yesterday bodies were brought to the colony.

Minister K. Rajan, K.K. Ramachandran MLA, District Panchayat President V.S. Prince, Kodakara Block Panchayat President MR. Ranjith and others paid their last respects.
