Provocation of MVD; driving tests per day made 50 again

mvdd

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Department of Motor Vehicles has reduced the number of participants attending the driving test through software. Restrictions imposed on Thursday were lifted but enforced through another method.
Allotment of date for driving test is done through Sarathi software. The number of candidates to appear in the test each day is determined by the Heads of Offices including RTOs and J.RTOs. An inspector used to check 60 people. Instead of this, the new arrangement is such that a maximum of 50 people will be tested per office. The decision to limit the number of participants in the driving test to 50 was withdrawn after widespread protests on Thursday. Minister Ganesh Kumar had alleged that the caucus was working behind the driving tests.
