Man dies after coconut tree fell on his body while cutting it

PALAKKAD: A man met a tragic end after a coconut tree fell on top of his body while cutting it. The deceased has been identified as Palakkad Vallappuzha native Naushad (44).

The accident took place at around 9 am today. Naushad had come to cut trees at a private individual's house in Vallapuzha. Although he was immediately rushed to the Pattambi Taluk Hospital, his life could not be saved.

The body was buried at Vallapuzha Yaram Juma Masjid in the evening. Naushad is survived by his wife Ramlat, and children Irshad, Irshana, Rinsi and Rizwan.
