Retd army personnel arrested for illegal sale of defence liquor 

PATHANAMTHITTA: 103.5 liters of defence liquor kept for sale in Adoor was seized. Retired military personnel Raman (65) of Adoor was arrested. The excise team led by Adoor circle inspector Anshad B following an information obtained that Raman had sourced liquor from many military personnel from army canteen and selling it, came for a search.

The excise took into custody 138 bottles of 750 ml (For Defense Personnel Only) liquor which he kept in his own house and another house owned by his wife.

Preventive Officer Rajeev, civil excise officers Anas, Anuprasad, woman civil excise officer Faseela and civil excise officer Ramji participated in the team led by Anshad B.
