CBI tightens noose on Arvind Kejriwal, new Chief minister likely in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Even though Kejriwal has stated that he would continue to rule Delhi from jail, close sources have already given hints about AAP considering a new CM face for the state. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena is not appreciative of the current running of the government and has warned about taking strict actions in the face of a constitutional crisis. Opposition BJP is ramping up protest against the imprudent ‘rule from jail’ notion of AAP.

Meanwhile, there are indications that the CBI may also record Kejriwal's arrest in the liquor case in the coming days.

ED on Monday informed the court about Kejriwal not cooperating with questions regarding Vijay Nair, an alleged middleman in the liquor case. It was for this reason that Kejriwal was sent to judicial custody but not to ED’s custody. There is still no answer to the question of why Vijay Nair, who was in charge of the media wing of the party, met with the co-accused more than ten times.

Kejriwal has revealed that Vijay Nair only reports to ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj. ED also complained about the Delhi CM not handing over the passwords of digital devices for investigation.

On another note, Delhi’s Education Minister Atishi has promised to reveal an ‘explosive expose’ at 10 am on Tuesday. Meanwhile, BJP alleged the whole drama to be Kejriwal’s shrewd politicking to make ED arrest Atishi, to make Sunita the next Delhi CM.
