KANNUR: The police have intensified a widespread search for the accused absconding in the Panoor bomb blast case. The police are conducting a search at Panoor, Koothuparambu and Kolavalloor areas. The police have identified the ten people who were in the spot. Shijal and Akshay are absconding. They fled soon after the incident. The police believe that the injured Shijal and Vineesh led the making of the bomb. It is still not clear for whom they were making the bomb and who directed them. The police hint that more people are likely to be arrested today. Four people have been arrested in the case so far.

The case is being investigated by a special investigation team led by Koothuparambu ACP K V Venugopal. The investigating team had yesterday questioned Vinodan (38) of Kunnothuparambu and Aswanth alias Eldo (25) of Parad Puthoor, undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the blast.

In the meanwhile, seven steel bombs made and hid by the team involved in the Panoor blast, have been found. The bombs were found hid in a deserted land based on the statement of Shibinlal, who was arrested. These bombs were shifted by a team led by Shibinlal from the spot soon after the blast. The bomb was found by the investigating team led by ACP K V Venugopal and circle inspector Premsadan.
