Newly married woman commits suicide in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: A newly married woman was found hanging in a hostel in Kottayam. She has been identified as Shruthimol (26) of Mundakayam Ilamkadu Valiyapurakkal. She was a CA student.

She got married on February 10 to a youth from Kidangoor. Police said that it was a love marriage. The youth, who went to Bengaluru in search of a job, returned the other day.
She took a room in the hostel a month ago near the General Hospital in Kottayam, to do some online course. Her husband came to the hostel Friday morning when she failed to pick up the phone after calling many times. He then found her hanging.

The Kottayam West Police have recovered a suicide note from her room. Police said that she has not blamed anyone in the note. The police have a registered a case of unnatural death. After postmortem, the body was cremated in the premises of her house.
