WAYANAD: Siddharthan’s father Jayaprakash expressed big hope in the CBI investigation and is certain that the officers would solve the mysterious death of his son, who was a student at Pookode University. Jayaprakash was talking to the media after stating the CBI officials.
“I have repeated what I have told the police. I haven’t mentioned any political affiliations in the case as I thought it was unwanted. The officials patiently heard whatever I had to say. I have mentioned some names which I doubt and I also expressed my doubt that it was murder. I cannot reveal more and I don’t blame the police for helping some accused because the external pressure would have been too high to resist” said Jayaprakash.
Jayaprakash and his brother-in-law Shibu came to the CBI office at Vythiri Govt. Rest House at 11 am on Tuesday and gave their statement. The whole session lasted for three and a half hours. Members of the National Human Rights Commission also reached the district to investigate Siddharth's death. Evidence collection will begin on Wednesday.
