COIMBATORE: BJP state president K Annamalai has alleged that DMK and AIADMK have spent Rs 1000 crores to influence voters in Tamil Nadu. Annamalai, a candidate from the Coimbatore constituency, made the allegation while talking to the media after reaching the polling booth at Uthupatti, Karur.

“On June 4, I have high hopes about NDA securing a historic victory in Tamil Nadu. BJP has hit the right chords with the public just through the sheer work and the speeches made during the campaigning. The people of Tamil Nadu are with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The situation will be similar in Karnataka. BJP is going to win in Telangana too.

These are the sunset years of Dravidian politics. In Coimbatore alone, both parties spent a thousand crores to influence voters. If anybody has the guts to come in front of the media to say that BJP gave money to the people of Tamil Nadu and prove it, I will end my political career.” said Annamalai.

In Coimbatore, Annamalai is contesting against DMK candidate Ganapathy P Rajkumar and AIADMK candidate Singai Ramachandran.
