'Veena Vijayan will be arrested within a few days', says K M Shaji

KANNUR: Muslim League leader KM Shaji said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter, Veena Vijayan, will be arrested within a few days. He made these remarks while inaugurating an election public meeting in Mattul North, Kannur, yesterday.

KM Shaji's words

"Veena Vijayan will be summoned within weeks and arrested. I previously mentioned in the Kerala Assembly in 2020 that the Chief Minister's daughter is involved in this scam. Do you know who has come to defend the accused, including the Chief Minister's daughter? Vaidyanathan. Do you know how much he was paid? 50 lakh rupees.

What right does the Chief Minister have to use our money, 50 lakh rupees, in the case involving his own daughter? There are many cases in my name. I went to court for the proceedings of those cases. The leaders are sitting here. Ask them; not even ten paise has been taken from the party.

I am able to stand here today because I argued the case myself after taking money from my own pocket. Isn't that how it should be done? Should the Chief Minister's daughter's case be handled by using our money? Did KSIDC Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan pay dowry to Vaidyanathan like this?
