Satheesan visits Chennithala: Cabinet entry left to party High Command

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Affirming their deep political and personal ties, Chief Minister-designate V.D. Satheesan stated that Ramesh Chennithala has always been his leader and a close family associate since his youth. Speaking to reporters after visiting Chennithala at his Vazhuthacaud residence, Satheesan fondly recalled their long-standing association, noting that they had even travelled together in the same vehicle to the first assembly session when he was appointed Leader of the Opposition.

"Chennithala is like an elder brother to me," Satheesan said. "As I take up this new responsibility, I am absolutely certain of his complete blessings, which he has already extended to me. Regarding his induction into the cabinet, the party will take a final decision after detailed internal discussions and direct consultations with him."

Welcoming the leadership change, Ramesh Chennithala expressed his happiness over Satheesan’s appointment. "I wholeheartedly accept the decision of the party High Command. We share a very strong personal bond. Decisions regarding cabinet portfolios rest entirely with the party, and there are no conditional clauses between us," Chennithala clarified.
