Vijay to attend swearing-in ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram? Chief Secretary sends invitation, Karnataka, Telangana Chief Ministers invited

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has been invited to the swearing-in ceremony of the new Congress-led UDF government in Kerala, which will be held in Thiruvananthapuram. The Chief Secretary confirmed that an invitation has been sent to Vijay. The Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Telangana have also been invited to the ceremony. Both Karnataka and Telangana are ruled by Congress governments.

Congress had extended support to the government led by Vijay's TVK after it came to power in Tamil Nadu. Senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, had attended Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony earlier.

The swearing-in ceremony of the UDF government will be held on Monday at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. All ministers will take oath along with the Chief Minister during the event.

Meanwhile, UDF Convener Adoor Prakash said that the complete list of ministers in the V D Satheesan government will be announced on Saturday. He was speaking to the media after the UDF meeting. Another UDF meeting will be held on Saturday to take a final decision on the ministers. Adoor Prakash added that all details regarding the full cabinet will be announced on Saturday.
