'Not engaging...'; watch theatre response to Tovino's 'Nadikar'

"Nadikar" the new Malayalam movie directed by Lal Jr. starring Tovino Thomas is undulating with mixed reviews in theatres across Kerala. The movie also marks the complete return of Bhavana into Malayalam movies after a small hiatus.

Here is the theatre response taken for the movie by Kaumudy Movies. Some felt the movie was made simply to capture the vogue apparel and the manly physique of lead actor Tovino Thomas. There was no question about the sassy makeover of the actors while due praise also reached the rich frames used in the movie, which many termed as a 'visual treat'.

Amidst this, there were major disappointments palpable with audiences, as they complained that the movie lacked any engaging factor unlike Jean’s previous outings like ‘Driving License’. Some audience also commented about the misfired humour scenes in the movie.

The movie gets into the life of David Padikal, a superstar with a 'rag-to-rich' background. Soubin Shahir, Balu Varghese, Dhyan Srinivasan, Anup Menon, Suresh Krishna, Veena Nandakumar, Indrans, Altaf Salim, Madhupal, Sanju Sivaram, Ganapathy, Manikuttan, Khalid Rahman, Jayaraj Kozhikode, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Manohari Joy, Mala Parvathy, Bipin Chandran, Devika Gopal, Baby Aaradhya, Akhil Kannappan, Jazeer Muhammad, Ranjith and Khayas Muhammad make the ensemble cast of the movie.
