Man from Kannur threatens to jump from flight into sea, arrested in Manguluru

MANGULURU: The Manguluru police arrested a Malayali passenger for creating a ruckus in the flight and for misbehaving with the cabin crew. The person arrested is Muhammed B C of Kannur. The crew and the fellow-passengers panicked when he threatened to jump from the flying aircraft. The incident happened on an Air India Express flight from Dubai to Mangaluru on May 8. He was arrested when the flight landed in Manguluru following the complaint of the crew. He was handed over to Bajpe police station.

He kept on pressing the bell for in-flight assistance, even though the crew members were near at hand. He later took a life jacket and said that he wanted to use it upon landing.

‘The passenger from Kannur misbehaved with the crew and fellow passengers while travelling on Air India Express flight from Dubai to Manguluru causing inconvenience to everyone. His actions, including threat to jump from the flight into the sea, created threat to the lives of others,’ a senior police officer reacted on the arrest of Muhammad.
