Attempt to kidnap nine-year-old boy in broad daylight

ALAPPUZHA: There was an attempt to kidnap a nine-year-old boy in broad daylight. The incident happened in Ambalapuzha last evening at 4 pm near Neerkunnam S N Kavala Junction.

The gang, who came in a van, tried to kidnap the boy when he came out to go for tuition. Seeing people coming, the group escaped in the van. The Ambalapuzha police registered a case after the boy’s parents filed a complaint.

The police said that an investigation has started focusing on the CCTV footage. The Ambalapuzha police said the investigation will be intensified and the accused will be arrested soon.

A ten-year-old girl, who was sleeping at her house in Kasargod was abducted and abused sexually. The incident came to light when the girl escaped from the assailant who stole her earrings, and reached a house nearby.
