Blood stains in Rahul's car, mother and sister may face additional charges

KOZHIKODE: Blood stains were found on accused Rahul P Gopal's car. A blood stain was discovered on the seat of the car during the forensic examination and it has been confirmed to be human blood. The authorities are preparing for further tests, including matching the blood group of the woman who was brutally beaten by Rahul. The car was taken into custody last night, and the police also searched Rahul's house.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Rahul P. Gopal's mother, Usha, from Panniyurkulam, Panthirankav and his sister Karthika may face additional charges due to more scientific evidence against them. However, there is no confirmation of this yet. The anticipatory bail application filed by the two will be considered by the Kozhikode District Court on Monday. Assistant Commissioner Saju K. Abraham has issued a notice. Usha, who has stated she cannot attend due to ill health, is undergoing treatment at the Medical College Hospital.

Senior Civil Police Officer Sarath Lal, who provided an opportunity for Rahul to escape, has been suspended by the authorities. It is clear that he helped the accused leave the country. On the day of the incident, he was on GD duty at Panthirankav station.

Sarath Lal informed Rahul about the move to charge him with attempted murder. According to the investigation, it is clear that he helped Rahul and Rajesh bypass the police check post. It has also been established that Sarath Lal met both of them on their way to Bengaluru. The investigation team is examining his call records in detail. The woman and her family members had earlier alleged that the suspect received help from the Panthirankav police.
