THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Kollam native woman has filed a sexual harassment complaint against a renowned celebrity physical trainer. The woman lodged the complaint against Amal Manoharan, the strength and conditioning coach of the Ahmedabad and Chennai teams in the Prime Volleyball League.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that Amal sexually abused her after promising to marry her. Speaking to a media outlet, the woman said that she had been in love with Amal for more than one and a half years. She alleged that Amal is now forcing her to end the relationship after realising that he would not receive any dowry.

"I questioned him when he talked about ending the relationship at the house in Thiruvananthapuram. Following this, Amal brutally attacked me. He sexually assaulted me and kicked me in the abdomen," the woman said.

"He told me that marrying me was a loss-making business for him," the woman added.

The woman lodged the complaint with the Museum police in Thiruvananthapuram. The police registered the case on May 6. The case has been registered on charges of sexual harassment and physical assault. However, the accused has not been arrested yet. The complainant said that Amal has high connections and that she fears that the case may be sabotaged.

"He told me that he tortured me to kill. He even tried to strangle me. I'm afraid that he might attack me again,'- the complainant said in the interview.
