Nine-year-old stabbed to death by 13-year-old in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: In a horrific incident, a nine-year-old boy was stabbed to death by a 13-year-old. The incident took place at a private Urdu learning centre in Madurai. The deceased has been identified as Shanavas (9). The incident took place in an institution where natives of Bihar are studying.

According to sources, the 13-year-old boy stabbed Shanavas with a kitchen knife during an argument. The boy died on the spot. After committing the murder, the 13-year-old boy dumped Shanavas's body in a sewer. After the child went missing, the school management carried out a search to find him. As they were not able to find him, they informed the police about the matter. While inspecting the hostel, the police became suspicious of the 13-year-old's behaviour. Following this, the child opened up about the incident when the police interrogated him. The police said that Shanavas's body was taken out and sent for post-mortem.
