ABU DHABI: UAE has announced Public and private sector holidays for all employees in the wake of Eid al-Adha. According to the Ministry of Human Resource Indigenization, the holidays will be from June 15 to 18. Eid al-Adha was declared on June 16th after the crescent moon was sighted for the month of Dhul Hijjah Calendar 1445 in Saudi Arabia.
In all the Gulf countries except Oman, Eid will be celebrated on June 16. In Oman, June 17th will be observed as the Feast of Sacrifice.
Meanwhile, Kerala is set to celebrate Bakrid on June 17th. Based on the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moonrise at Kappad beach, Islamic Qasis and leaders in Kerala decided to observe Dhul Hijjah on Saturday and celebrate Bakrid the next day.
