KOZHIKODE: Following his defeat in Thrissur, K Muraleedharan finds himself at odds with the party. In Kozhikode, posters and boards have emerged, rallying support for Muraleedharan's leadership.
One such poster reads, "Let the hero lead..." It praises Muraleedharan's unwavering commitment to secularism and acknowledges his pivotal role in defending the party's honour and the rights of its workers. The message emphasizes that without Muralidharan's leadership, the party's unity is at stake. These displays of solidarity have surfaced across various parts of the city, attributed to Kozhikode Congress workers.
Despite the support, Muraleedharan has announced his temporary withdrawal from public activities. However, his stance remains firm amidst ongoing discussions within the party.
KPCC president K. Sudhakaran visited Muralidharan at his residence in Kozhikode to address the situation. Sudhakaran assured Muraleedharan of the party's willingness to fulfill any requests he might have. Furthermore, there were promises of Wayanad constituency if Rahul Gandhi decides to step down. Despite these offers, Muraleedharan stands resolute in his position.
