Actor Joju George suffers injury during shoot of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life

CHENNAI: Actor Joju George suffered injuries during a shoot. Reports said that he has fractured his ankle. He suffered injuries while shooting for Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thug Life’. The incident happened when a shot of him jumping from the helicopter was being filmed.

‘Thug Life’ is the film where Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are coming together after three and a half decades. The crew had earlier informed that Joju George is a part of this film. The shooting of the film started in Chennai on January 18. Joju George has a pivotal role in the film. Trisha plays the heroine in the film. Other casts include Jayam Ravi, Gautham Karthik, Nasser, Abhirami and many others. The film is jointly produced by Rajkamal Films International, Madras Talkies, Red Giant Movies, R Mahendran and Siva Ananth. Ravi K Chandran wields the camera. Editor is Sreekar Prasad, action choreography Anparavu, production designer Sharmishta Roy, costume designer Eka Lakhani.

Meanwhile, Joju is turning screenwriter and director through ‘Pani’. Joju plays the main role in the film portraying the rivalry between two gangs in Thrissur. Seema, Chandini Sreedhar, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Sona Mariya Abraham, Merlet Ann Thomas, Lanka Lakshmi, Sara Rose Jospeh, Babu Namboodiri, Prashanth Alexanader, Rinosh George and Bigg Boss contestants Sagar Surya and Junais.
