'Uninhabited houses are hubs of bomb makers'; woman makes revelation

bomb-blast

KANNUR: Kerala is yet to recover from the shock of the incident where an elderly man died after a steel bomb exploded near an uninhabited house in Eranholi in Thalassery yesterday. Now, a woman from the neighbourhood has made more revelations regarding the incident. The woman, named Seena, revealed that uninhabited houses in the region are the hub of bomb makers. She said that if anyone opened up about this, their houses would be bombed and destroyed by the bomb makers. Seena is the neighbour of Velayudhan who died yesterday.

"We want to live. We don't want to get killed in a bomb explosion. No one is ready to reveal this as they fear that the bomb makers will throw bombs and destroy their houses. These people are not allowing us to live here peacefully. I'm making this revelation for everyone living in the region. The party members have removed the bomb from the nearby field," the woman said.

Eranholi native Velayudhan (85) died yesterday after a steel bomb exploded near an uninhabited house in the area. The explosion took place at around 1 pm yesterday. Velayudhan got the steel bomb when he was collecting coconuts from a compound near his residence. The bomb exploded when he tried to open it, thinking that it was a container. His right hand was severed in the impact. Although he was rushed to the Thalassery Cooperative Hospital, his life could not be saved.
