Police vehicle crashes into shop, SI suffers serious injury

PALAKKAD: A police vehicle crashed into a shop in Nayadippara in Palakkad, leaving a sub-inspector injured. There were two people in the vehicle. SI Sivadas has suffered a fractured hip and has been admitted to a private hospital in Vattambalam. Driver Shameer escaped unhurt.

The accident happened around 1:30 am on Thursday while the vehicle was returning from Mannarkkad during a night inspection. The police said that while trying to avoid a tree branch lying on the road, the vehicle lost control and rammed into a nearby shop. The front of the jeep and the shop were damaged.

Police vehicle overturns while chasing accused, SI injured

A police vehicle overturned and an SI was injured a few days ago in Palode in Thiruvananthapuram. The accident occurred while the police were following an accused's vehicle. The jeep went out of control, hit a muddy embankment and overturned.
