Pinarayi has grown beyond party; criticism in Kollam district committee

KOLLAM: Criticism was raised against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the Kollam district committee meeting that was convened to assess the results of the parliamentary elections. It was criticised that Pinarayi Vijayan grew beyond the party and that the party was unable to correct the Chief Minister's lapses in controlling the Home Department. Some leaders also demanded that the Chief Minister should give up the Home Department.

It was also openly said that the party's subjugation to Pinarayi led to a terrible situation where the leftist votes got leaked to the BJP. By subverting the organizational systems, people personally close to the Chief Minister are controlling the party in each district. The leaders are responding in front of the media in an impolite way. The Chief Minister's rescue effort speech during the Nava Kerala Sadas created a lot of outrage. The CPM state secretary and LDF convener often react without caution. A member openly said that the delay in taking action against EP Jayarajan will make people think that some of the allegations raised by the BJP and Congress are true.
