Human Rights Commission seeks report on Fahadh's film shoot in Angamaly Taluk Hospital

KOCHI: The Human Rights Commission (HRC) came to the fore against the film shoot in the casualty of Angamaly Taluk Hospital on Thursday night which created a lot of difficulties to the patients. Commission member V K Beena Kumari demanded an explanation from people who gave permission to shoot the film in the casualty of the government hospital. The commission gave directions to Ernakulam district medical officer and Angamaly taluk hospital superintendent.

The shoot of Paingili produced by Fahadh Faasil was shot here last night. The shoot started at 9 pm. The shoot was after dimming the lights of the casualty and also some restrictions were imposed. Around 50 people, including actors, were in the casualty. The shoot continued even when the doctors were engaged in treatment.


There is only a limited space in the casualty. A person who came a with a critically ill person was not able to enter the casualty. No one was permitted to enter through the main gate. The crew asked the patients and bystanders to keep silence during the shoot. Th shoot will be there for two days.

Angamaly Taluk Hospital is a refuge for the poor. The action was taken in a suo moto case registered by the commission on the basis of a news report. The film was shot in the government hospital as a set of a private hospital.
