Dancer and director Ashwati V Nair, daughter of M T Vasudevan Nair, has clarified that she will not be directing the much-anticipated film 'Randamoozham'. Ashwati, who considers herself a novice in the field of cinema, stated that she still has much to learn and is not ready to take on such a monumental project.

"Everyone knows 'Randamoozham' is a massive undertaking," Ashwati said. "It needs a director who can fully grasp and bring to life its complexity. The film must do complete justice to the story, and for that, a strong production house is essential. There are numerous challenges ahead and this is not a project that can be rushed. The pre-production alone could take about two years."

Ashwati also expressed her father's deep desire for the film to be made. "My father truly wants this movie to come to life, and I share that wish. 'Manorathangal' has given me the confidence to support the project, but not to direct it."

She emphasized that 'Randamoozham' should not be limited to just the Malayalam language but should be a pan-Indian film, reflecting its grand scale and significance. "This is a big-budget movie and as of now, no decision has been made about who will direct it."

When asked whether Mohanlal would play the role of Bheema, Ashwati responded, "That decision isn’t solely ours. It also depends on the director's vision. Whoever takes on the role of director will choose the cast according to their interpretation and the production team must approve it as well."
