Agriculture department principal secretary Dr B Ashok's mother and veteran teacher Ramamani passes away

KOLLAM: S.N. Women's College Zoology Department Chairperson and long-time faculty member of the SN colleges in Kerala, P Ramamani (80), passed away on Thursday. A member of Adichanallur Palathuvila family, Ramamani was a native of Mundakkal in Kollam. Ramamani is the wife of the retired deputy registrar from the Cooperative Department, B Balasundaram.

After retirement, Ramamani was actively involved in many philanthropic activities. She also got involved in organic farming. Children: Dr. B. Ashok IAS (State Agricultural Production Commissioner), B. Prasobh, Principal Architect and Director, Generative AI, Toronto. Daughter-in-law: Lakshmi Preeti Mani, Scientist Engineer, VSSC. Manu Madhusudhanan Prasobh, Manager, Infrastructure, Vaughan, Canada.

The cremation will take place at 2:00 PM at Kollam Polayathodu.
