Missing college student's body found from Meenachil river

KOTTAYAM: A student who went missing from Kottayam SME College was found dead on Tuesday. The body of Ajaz Khan, a first-year MLT student at the college, was found floating in Meenachil river near Kudamaloor bridge. Ajaz has been missing since midnight yesterday.

CCTV footage was acquired during the search conducted at Panampalam in Kottayam. Following this, the fire force searched the Kudamaloor River and found the body which then was shifted to the hospital morgue. The body will be handed over to the relatives after legal formalities and post-mortem. Ajaz Khan is suspected to have committed suicide. The police said that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident.
