THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MLA P V Anvar continued his no-holds-barred attack alleging the existence of an anti-government lobby within the state police. Anvar told the media that he is yet to receive confirmation from party about the allegations made.
Anvar responded to the media, only after talking with CPM state secretary MV Govindan. He also informed MV Govindan about the complaints against police officials including ADGP MR Ajith Kumar. A copy of the complaint filed yesterday was handed over to the Chief Minister.
Anvar:
“I just revealed things that lakhs of comrades wanted to say. It is the sentiment of those who want the government to exist. CM’s trusted aides have failed their duty and are designing a plan to bring down the government. I will surrender only before the party and god and my fight is against this lobby. The change will not happen soon.
I decided to reveal such things only after researching in detail. What was the need for police to create ruckus in Thrissur pooram?
Kerala police are capable of finding the reasons. If the investigation goes wrong, I will intervene. I have already handed over the complaint to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Regardless of the media terming me as a cat or mouse or whatever, I will be at the forefront of the public raising these allegations. It is up to the government and the Chief Minister to decide on changing the ADGP. A case against the headmaster should not be investigated by a peon.
I only filed the complaint yesterday, so let the government learn the case and proceed accordingly. I can understand the restlessness of media but I’m in no hurry.”
