'I was not there at ADGP's meeting with RSS leader'; CM's relative denies report

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Earlier, reports had claimed that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's close relative was present at the meeting that ADGP MR Ajith Kumar had with RSS leader Ram Madhav at Kovalam. According to reports, this relative is Jigeesh Narayanan, the marketing manager of Kairali TV and the grandson of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's brother. However, Jigeesh has now come out denying these reports. The names of Chennai-based Malayalee businessman and BLM Group Chairman R Premkumar and RSS leader A Jayakumar had also surfaced alongside that of Jigeesh Narayanan.

Jigeesh said that although he had met several persons as part of his job, RSS leaders were not among them.

"I have met Premkumar before. Premkumar has not met Ram Madhav. In fact, he doesn't even know him. He has been undergoing treatment for over nine months after falling in the bathroom and has not even stepped out of the house. He didn't attend the meeting. The reports about him meeting the RSS leader is completely baseless. I am 100% sure about this. You can check the CCTV footage of the hotel. I don't have any connection with the RSS leader. Don't drag me into controversies. If I had met him, I could have told the police." Jigeesh clarified.

The meeting between ADGP MR Ajith Kumar and Ram Madhav took place at a resort in Kovalam on June 2, last year. The Intelligence report had raised suspicions about the meeting between the ADGP and the RSS leader, questioning the need for the ADGP to be accompanied by the Chief Minister's relative. Additionally, reports had surfaced that R Premkumar, Jigeesh Narayanan, and A Jayakumar were also present during this meeting.
