10-year-old boy and youngster bitten by snake in separate incidents in Thamarassery

KOZHIKODE: Raising the alarm yet again, two people were bitten by snakes in Thamarassery in Kozhikode. A ten-year-old child and a young man working in a private institution were bitten by snakes. Both are undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

Muhammed Ryan, son of Yusuf, a native of Korangad, and Chamavalappil Shemeedi (21), a native of Koyilandy Naderi, were bitten by snakes. Ryan was bitten by a snake while he was playing in a field near his house at around 6 pm the previous day. After primary treatment at the Thamarassery Taluk Hospital, Ryan was immediately shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

Shemeedi was bitten by the snake at Karadi on the Thamarassery-Koyilandy state highway at around 8 pm last night. The type of snake is unknown, and the reptile was not identified. After providing initial treatment at the Thamarassery Taluk Hospital, the youth was shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
