Music maestro AR Rahman and his former partner Saira Banu decided to end their 29 years of marriage just two weeks back. The two made the news of their separation public through a joint statement. After that, many speculations were rife about the reasons for the split.
The music director even filed a legal notice against some YouTube channels for publishing defamatory remarks about his marriage life. In one instance, even Saira Banu had to appear on social media and shield her former husband, adulating Rahman as one of the most respected person in her life.
And now, Saira Banu's lawyer Vandana Shah in an interview given to a YouTube channel stated the possibility of reconciliation between the two.
“There is a chance of reconciliation between the two. I see things with optimism. Both were married for a long time. It was only after much deliberation that they reached the decision. But I am still not ruling out the chance of a reconciliation” said Vandana Shah while she made it careful not to respond on issues concerning alimony.
Two children of Rahman-Saira Banu couple are adults and can decide who they want to be with. Their daughter Khadeeja got married two years ago.
