HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan not supporting Allu Arjun in the incident of the death of a woman in a stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2. He said that the law is equal for all and the police should act keeping public safety in mind. Pawan Kalyan, who is also the leader of NDA's ally Jana Sena Party, was speaking to the media during a function in Mangalagiri.

"The law is equal for all. In such incidents, the police work with safety in mind. The theatre staff should have informed Allu Arjun about the situation in advance. His arrival at the theatre made matters worse. Allu Arjun was supposed to visit the family of Revathi who died in the stampede much earlier. That would have reduced the tension. My elder brother Chiranjeevi and I used to attend screenings of films. But we often wore masks to avoid crowding," said Pawan Kalyan.

There was a huge rush at Sandhya Theater in connection with the premiere show of Pushpa 2 on December 4th. A woman died and her son was seriously injured in the stampede. Revathi (39), a native of Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, died. Allu Arjun and members of the theatre management were arrested by the Hyderabad police on the charge of creating a stampede. Allu Arjun was arrested by the police on the evening of December 13. After getting bail from the Telangana High Court, the actor was released the next morning.
