Actor Allu Arjun made an appeal to his fans after the controversy. The actor asked the fans to express their feelings responsibly. The appeal was made through a social media note.
'I appeal to all my fans to express their feelings responsibly, as always and not resort to any kind of abusive language or behavior both online and offline. Misrepresentation of my fans with fake IDs and fake profiles, if someone indulges in abusive posts, strong action will be taken against them. I request the fans not to engage with such posts.'- Allu Arjun wrote.
Allu Arjun was arrested after a woman died in a stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy came forward blaming the actor for the incident. The Chief Minister accused Allu Arjun of reaching the theatre where Pushpa 2 was screened on the day of the incident, despite the police denying permission. He criticized that even after the death of the woman in the stampede, the actor did not come out of the cinema hall and this prompted the police to force him out.
However, the actor denied the allegation of waving at the crowd and holding a roadshow. 'If there was no permission, they would have told us to go back. I am a law-abiding citizen. I was not given any such instructions.'- was the actor's response to the criticism.
