France, US visit: Modi to leave today

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will depart today for his visit to France and the United States. He will arrive in Paris this evening and attend a dinner hosted by President Emmanuel Macron.

Tomorrow, Modi will participate in the AI Summit and hold meetings with Macron and key business leaders. Discussions will include the Rafale fighter jet and Scorpene submarine deals, with significant announcements expected.

On July 12, both leaders will travel to Marseille in southern France, where Modi will inaugurate a new Indian Consulate. He will also visit the renowned Marseille War Memorial to pay tribute to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World War I. Additionally, Modi will tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), in which India is a partner.

On July 12-13, Modi will visit the United States, where he is scheduled to meet U.S. President Donald Trump.
