HYDERABAD: Party President K. Chandrasekhar Rao has suspended his daughter, Kavitha, from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The explanation is that Kavitha is being expelled from the party on the grounds of anti-party activities.

"The party leadership is taking this matter seriously as the recent behaviour and ongoing anti-party activities of party MLC K. Kavitha are damaging the BRS party. Party President K. Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a decision to suspend Smt. Kavitha from the party with immediate effect," - BRS said in a statement.

Kavitha had been the object of displeasure of the party leadership for the past few days after she had repeatedly raised criticisms against the party's top brass. There were earlier reports that Kavitha might be expelled from the party following this. Kavitha had earlier alleged that some conspiracies are taking place in the party as her letter to her father got "leaked". The action against Kavitha comes three months after the letter was leaked. She blamed those around KCR for the leak. Kavitha opined that KCR is a god surrounded by devils.

Kavitha publicly blamed senior BRS leader T Harish Rao, her cousin, for the CBI investigation against KCR, which exacerbated the problems. Kavitha's opening of Telangana Jagrati's new office had fueled rumours that she was distancing herself from BRS.
