'I will eat pure buffalo meat if I get it'; Kerala BJP leader's reply to question of whether he eats beef going viral

THRISSUR: BJP leader B Gopalakrishnan said that he is not a vegetarian but will eat pure buffalo meat if he gets it. He added that the Congress and the CPM are the ones who fire verbal shots when it is said that cows should be protected and that at least one cow should be kept in every household in villages for self-sufficiency. He was responding to a question from CPI leader VS Sunil Kumar during an election program on a private channel.

"I am not a vegetarian. I will eat pure buffalo meat if given. I do not lie. I only tell the truth. These people are the ones who fire verbal shots if anyone says that a cow calf should be protected. It is the Congress that slaughters cows in public," Gopalakrishnan said. Later, Congress leader Anil Akkara, who participated in the program, intervened in the issue.

Anil Akkara said that he had about nine cows in his house and that if the milk dried up, he had no other option but to sell them. Later, a question arose as to how many varieties of cows Gopalakrishnan knew. It was Sunil Kumar who replied to this. Sunil Kumar said that Gopalakrishnan only knows one variety and that is Gomatha. The video of the program is viral on social media.
